Herbalist Sebastian Kneipp once said that growing Sage in your garden is like having your own pharmacy at hand. Some research suggests it helps with long-term memory, visionary thinking, and attention span. Sage’s botanical name comes from the Latin word “salvere”, which — to no one’s surprise — means, “to be saved.” Sage is my savior, its scent, my origin story.
